Studio Membership

Ready to go out on your own? As a studio member, you will have access to studio equipment, glazes, and tools during open studio hours.

Benefits

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older to join

  • Have prior clay experience and be able to use the facility unsupervised and appropriately

  • Must have a current and basic knowledge of ceramic principles, including joining, finishing, throwing (not required if only hand building in the studio), and glazing

  • Use clay purchased from or approved by Northwest Pottery Collective

  • Outside glazes must meet Northwest Pottery Collective’s Glaze Guidelines

  • Attend new member orientation prior to becoming a member (Mondays & Tuesdays 3:00pm - 3:45pm)

  • Open studio reservations are required for Saturdays and Sundays at least 48 hours in advance; weekend reservations canceled within 48 hours of scheduled time will be charged a $10 cancellation fee for each 1-hour appointment

  • Reservations are recommended but not required Monday - Friday to ensure equipment availability

  • Membership dues will be charged monthly until cancelled

  • One-time $50 start-up fee to join

  • Clay and outside tools/glazes may not be stored in the studio

  • Work may not be left in the studio for longer than 30 days at any stage of the process (greenware, bisque, glazed)

  • Work produced outside of Northwest Pottery Collective may not be fired or glazed at Northwest Pottery Collective
